Welcome to TRACTION. The intent of this newsletter is to inform clients and shareholders of what is happening at QMASTOR and provide updates as to events, success stories and product developments. In this edition: new contract secured with Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal; new software Horizon to be deployed to OneSteel Whyalla; new contract and global umbrella agreement with major resource company;  three new offices opened- Perth, Mackay and Johannesburg;  upcoming exhibition attendances; new scheduled training services now available; notice of AGM.

New contract secured with Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT P/L)

QMASTOR will supply DBCT P/L with a comprehensive Coal Management System that will provide coal tracking and inventory management across the Dalrymple Bay supply chain; including rail ordering; stockyard management; stockpile modeling; ship loading and vessel management; and web based reporting. Integration points include: the supplying mines; rail service providers and SCADA systems.

QMASTOR extends relationship with OneSteel - Horizon to be deployed at Whyalla operations

QMASTOR has recently signed a contract to deploy our new Horizon™ Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system at OneSteel to optimise their iron ore supply chain at Whyalla, South Australia. QMASTOR will supply OneSteel with a comprehensive scheduling system for export iron ore shipments, port inventory management, rail transportation, mine stockpile management and process plant production.

The agreement covers software design, installation and commissioning of QMASTOR’s Horizon™ APS with the majority of revenue to be received in the 08/09 financial year.

QMASTOR systems selected by global resources company

Earlier this year, QMASTOR signed a major contract with a global resources company to provide an end to end ore tracking and inventory management solution for their Australian iron ore operations. QMASTOR are to deploy their Pit to Port.net, SMS3D.net and iFuse systems throughout their 11 operational sites within Western Australia. The contract also includes provisions for a global umbrella agreement throughout all their worldwide operations across all commodities.

Three new offices for QMASTOR- Perth, Mackay and Johannesburg

QMASTOR has recently opened two new offices in Australia, and one Internationally to offer local support and facilitate a strong relationship with our growing client base.

All 3 offices are staffed by personnel with extensive experience in the areas of mining software consulting, project management, business analysis and systems integration.

Perth:

Brendan McDermott - Regional Manager WA:

Brendan comes to us with vast practical and functional knowledge of working in a mine. For the last 6 and half years he has been directly involved in the area of operations that our software systems service, including; stockpile management, ship scheduling/quality control, mine quality and grade control. Brendan has held positions such as Reconciliation Specialist and Production Planning and Control Superintendent for Rio Tinto Aluminium’s Weipa Operations. He holds a Cert. IV in Surface Mining, a Cert IV in Project Management and a Cert IV in Business. He is supported by a Senior Analyst, David Lloyd, a Senior Integration Specialist, Dan Pushnick, and Project Manager John Marston.

Mackay:

Dale Standen - Regional Manager QLD:

Dale has over 11 years experience in business and systems analysis and has extensive experience in the discipline of information technology for the mining industry. Prior to joining QMASTOR in 2007, Dale held positions of business improvement analyst and superintendent network systems for Rio Tinto’s Comalco Weipa operations and also systems analyst at Rio Tinto’s Blair Athol project. Dale holds a Bachelor of Business – Information Systems Major, from the Central Queensland University and has also undertaken Six Sigma training. He is supported by Business Analyst, Jodie Bonney and Integration Developer, Jean-Claude Arruo.

Johannesburg:

Marc Ramsay - Regional Manager Africa:

Marc joins QMASTOR with a strong background in results focused mine production optimisation and grade control. For the past 8 years Marc has been directly involved in mining fleet optimisation and the implementation of mine management systems including real-time mining execution systems with hardware, software and communication network components. Marc's past experience throughout the African continent and the Commonwealth of Independent States (previous Soviet Union), will provide a solid base for QMASTOR throughout Africa. Marc has a Bachelors degree in business and finance, with post graduate qualifications in taxation and the management of technology, along with a masters degree in business leadership.


Horizon- QMASTOR's Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) System

Horizon is a bulk commodity supply chain planning and scheduling system that enables complex supply chains or components thereof to be modelled, planned and scheduled simply and efficiently. A combination of manual and automated scheduling mechanisms in conjunction with a commercial grade business rules management engine provide enhanced decision support via optimised planning and scheduling capability.

The system provides APS solutions for the fulfilment of export, import and domestic bulk commodity demand; shipping and berth scheduling; bulk terminal stockyards; transportation (eg rail, truck; barge); mine product stockyards and process plants (eg Wash plants; Crushers; OBP).

Mark Cowan: Consultant Advanced Planning Systems

Mark is the lead consultant for Horizon APS. Originally a software developer with almost five years experience at Port Waratah Coal Services, Mark spent three years as a planner with the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Logistics Team in the Roles of Tactical Planner and Asset Planner.

Mark brings to QMASTOR detailed knowledge about the short and long term planning, capacity forecasting and maintenance coordination of complex supply chains.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Newcastle.


Scheduled Training Services

QMASTOR Limited is proud to announce scheduled training sessions for our bulk material management systems to be held at the Crowne Plaza, in Newcastle NSW. There will be Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced topics covered in different courses. Private and on-site training will still be available.

Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of QMASTOR Limited will be held at:

ABN AMRO Morgans Theatrette, Level 29, 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane at 4pm on Wednesday 19 November, 2008.

Managing Director Trent Bagnall and the Board of Directors will report on the company's activities for the 07/08 fiscal period and discuss QMASTOR's strategic plans for the future.
