QMASTOR Limited. (ASX: QML) - Australia's leading supplier of bulk materials management information systems - was last night announced as the recipient of a Consensus Software Award for its Pit to Port .net system at a gala award ceremony at the Sheraton on the Park, Sydney.
Managing Director Mr Trent Bagnall received the award from Senator Richard Alston, Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Mr Steve Vamos, Managing Director, Microsoft Pty. Ltd.
The Awards are independently judged by information and communications technology industry professionals including Industry Development Managers, Authors, Industry Consultants, Technology Experts, Software Developers, Project Managers and Chief Information Officers. Austrade, Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association (AIMIA) endorse the awards.
Mr Bagnall said, “This award reflects the outstanding effort that the entire QMASTOR team has put into the development of the Pit to Port .net system. To be acknowledged for its innovation and performance in use across mining supply chains is a credit not only to QMASTOR staff but also to our customers who have collaborated with us in developing the system to where it is today.”
Pit to Port .net was developed using Microsoft’s Visual Studio .Net and C# as the programming language. The system has been designed specifically for connecting remote mines with distant marketing offices and customers using thin client XML based messaging and is ready for web services adoption.
