QMASTOR Limited (ASX:QML)-Australia's leading supplier of bulk materials management information systems - announced today that it has signed a five year contract with BHP Billiton for the installation and ongoing support of a Product Inventory Management System (PIMS) at BHP Billiton's Mt Arthur Coal.
Mt Arthur Coal, a new mine development adjacent to Bayswater Colliery is located in the upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. The two resources will be mined as one large, flexible operation expanding production from approximately 6.3 million tonnes of coal per year to 14.5 million tonnes within the next three years, making it BHP Billiton's largest energy coal operation in Australia. At full production, Mt Arthur Coal will rank as one of the largest coal mines in Australia.
The Product Inventory Management System to be installed on site incorporates QMASTOR® and Pit to Port® technologies that will provide tracking, modelling and optimisation of coal quality, quantity and value through the complex stockpiling and coal handling operations on site. In addition to the management of domestic coal supply to Macquarie Generation, the system will also provide enhanced management of the export coal supply chain from pit to port.

This significant installation comes on the back of QMASTOR Limited's success at BHP Billiton's Illawarra coal operations”.
